Apparatjik – Live In Flø, Norway

Tuesday, June 1st, 2010

Apparatjik will be playing live at «Go With the Flø» festival this month.

Art, music and fashion meet at the parish of Flø the 5-6th of June among the breathtaking landscape of the northwestern part of Norway. Studio Hugo Opdal is host for the artival «Go With the Flø» together with Moods of Norway and the people at Flø.

Also the worlds maybe best known artist – Damien Hirst – is participating at this summers exhibition at Studio Hugo Opdal which opens at the artival

Apparatjik will perform in their specially designed cube at the former schoolhouse in the parish. This will be their only concert this summer.

Apparatjik performed their first live-performance in Berlin on the 1st of February this year, together with the online release of their album We Are Here.

The gallery is situated on an island with a unique combination of mountains, flat farming land and the rolling waves from the rough North Atlantic Ocean. People here have been fishing and cultivating the soil for generations. The parish has several burial places from the Viking age, a village house and a choir.

The people living in Flø also have a number of happy cows and a dozen well maintained tractors. The island is the perfect location for exploration the spectacular UNESCO World Heritage Site of Geirangerfjord.

The picturesque town of Ålesund famous for its unique concentration of Jugendstil architecture (art nouveau) is a short boat trip away. So is Runde, the most southbound bird mountain in Norway.

Tickets for the Apparatjik-concert will be limited. More info can be found at http://www.hugoopdal.no and on Facebook.
